Trees on palace road axed

Have you gone on Palace road recently? If yes, have you would have noticed something missing?

Yes, 54 fully grown trees are been axed overnight by BBMP to widen road between Mehkri circle and Cauvery Junction. BBMP proposes to add additional two lanes to existing road to ease traffic congestion on this stretch

Will this move reduce traffic congestion and is Bangalore loosing its green cover slowly?
