Construction waste choking Bengaluru

While Garbage is a growing issue for Bangalore but there is one more silent & growing addition- waste from construction debris.

One can see tractor loads of such waste called C&D waste being dumped on road sides, lake beds, under many flyovers and empty into plots

All this despite efforts from BBMP to mainstream this waste with a notification on its dos and donts.

Currently the city has only one functioning plant for Construction & Demolition Waste. Rock Crystal founded by Rajesh Korah is the city’s only C&D waste processing plant.
