This is the story of Silicon City Bengaluru. The ugly sight of dangling OFC cables has caught the attention of the hon’ble High Court.

They are OFC’s, cable TV wires, CCTV cables, forgotten & disused wires of all kinds. They dangle overhead, hang low across roads, tied onto electric poles, streetlights, trees and from building to building. Strong enough for monkeys to get across or injure humans.

They lie on footpaths, serpent-like, waiting to trip unsuspecting pedestrians. They are no doubt dangerous as can be seen in these videos & photos.

There is danger lurking at every street corner. In this age of quantum computing and WFH, these cables are as important to run the world’s back office. So what are the authorities doing to curb this menace?
